Every worker in Aotearoa has basic legal minimum rights that their employer has to follow.
Click below to find out what you basic rights are for each area of work. These are the minimum required by law - your employment agreement may have better conditions or pay than this (but cannot be worse).
If you have had enough of your employer only giving you the least the law says they can then you should join a union. Unions also help to make sure the employers actually follow the law and employment agreements.
If you work in hospitality click here to join Unite. If you work outside of hospitality click here to find a union that covers you.
